Service Porter

Buick GMC of Mahwah is currently looking for a full-time service porter to assist our service team at our dealership in Mahwah, NJ. Are you looking to grow your career with an expanding organization? Responsibilities:

  • Reorganize and move vehicles on property as well as during vehicle swaps
  • Organize and maintain tidiness of parts
  • Daily upkeep of dealership, including cleaning and removing trash in the service department, showroom and administrative offices
  • Keep vehicles and property in a clean and presentable condition
  • Other on-site maintenance such as power washing, light painting, sweeping and light bulb replacement along pathways and parking areas
  • Assists with all types of ad hoc projects as requested

Requirements:

  • No experience required, we will provide training to the right candidate
  • Ability to stick to a schedule and be reliable
  • Ability to solve problems and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle light handy work
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record is a MUST

Job Description

Buick GMC of Mahwah is seeking to add a passionate and experienced Automotive Sales Consultant to our dealership in Mahwah, NJ. Are you looking to grow your career with an expanding organization? Job Responsibilities:

  • Sells and delivers a minimum number of vehicles per month.
  • Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Utilizes dealership sales control and follow-up systems.
  • Attending product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.
  • Keeps up to date on new products and services within the industry.
  • Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a prospective development system.
  • Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Satisfies the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.
  • Approaches, greets, and offers help to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.

  • Explains fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
  • Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
  • Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive.
  • Exhibits a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales.
  • Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Knows and understands equity and values and can explain depreciation to the customer.
  • Ensures that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
  • Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title etc.).
  • Prepares sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival.
  • Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Introduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
  • Schedules first service appointment.
  • Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
  • Attends sales meetings.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

DMV Title Clerk/Biller

Buick GMC of Mahwah is seeking to add a passionate and experienced DMV Title Clerk/Biller to our dealership in Mahwah, NJ. Are you looking to grow your career with an expanding organization? Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for stocking new and used vehicles, as well as processing vehicle registrations through NYS OLRS system
  • Process all New & Used vehicle registrations using NJ OLRS system
  • Prepare title documents and ensure all vehicles are registered within required state guidelines
  • Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Reviews registration & title applications for accuracy and ensures information is complete; archive all documentation accordingly
  • Posts daily registration reports into CDK
  • Handle billing for all vehicle deals and transactions; work with financial institutions to resolve outstanding title deficiencies
  • Reports management status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the Controller at the month end.
  • Stay up to date on title regulations and other protocols; attend seminars held by local licensing bureaus
  • Cross-trains others to handle title clerk daily responsibilities

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Previous dealership experience in an automotive billing capacity preferred
  • Good working knowledge of DMV / Verifi system
