    • My favorite car I have ever owned!

Should be noted that the GLE43 was introduced in late 2015 as the 2016 GLE450, then in 2017 they renamed it to GLE43, there is no performance or price differences whatsoever, just the name, which not many people know; same with the 2016 C450 and 2017 C43. It’s my favourite car I have ever owned. If you want to sit up high but do not need all of the extra space, I highly recommend the GLE Coupe. The trunk is not huge, but it is decent enough. Back seat room is alright. The headspace could be slightly better in the rear, but it is not as bad as all of the youtube reviews say, coming from a 6’1” man. The front seats are well bolstered and hold you well and are overall comfortable. The performance is way more than enough, and the handling is magnificent. When you steer into a corner fast, the car leans into the corner and makes driving way more fun. The seat’s bolstering adjusts to your cornering as well; so if you are turning, one side tightens up to make you stay in your seat. Everything in this car is engineered perfectly. The suspension is alright, it’s great when it comes to performance, but as for driving around town on bad roads it can be a little stiff. It’s by no means a Range Rover’s comfortable suspension but it’s not horrible, so don’t let sway you away from the GLE Coupe. The GLE450/43’s exhaust is great! It pops and burbles amazingly. I like the exhaust on my GLE450 way better than my GLS63’s which is funny because it's a biturbo V8 in my GLS. I have the illuminated star option on my GLE Coupe, the front Mercedes logo lights up at night, so cool!, so I do not have distronic(adaptive cruise control); but I have the same distronic system in my GLS63 AMG and it’s nice to use.. It keeps you a following distance away from the car in front of you and keeps you in your lane. The system in the 2021’s are MUCH better. It will automatically change lanes and is much more dependable, plus you can keep your hands off of the steering wheel for over 45 seconds! I have it in my 2021 GLE53 AMG and it's fantastic. The automatic braking system is very nice, it has saved me from getting into accidents numerous times. One time I was going around a highway corkscrew off exit where a bunch of deer were crossing and I didn’t even see them but the car braked out of nowhere, tightened our seatbelts and moved our seats forward because they were too far away for the airbag to deploy. Should be noted that it only works above 10 mph when driving forward. I was driving in Miami traffic at about 5ish mph and hit the car in front of me, no damage to my car besides my front license plate being slightly bent, other car had a license plate imprint on their Honda Pilot’s bumper. The reliability is great, I bought mine new in late 2015, and now have over 120,000 miles with zero problems. (as of February 2022) If people have had reliability issues with their GLE, I am sure that they probably didn’t have their car frequently serviced at a Mercedes dealership and didn’t take well enough care of their car. The infotainment takes a little bit of time getting used to if you are not a frequent Mercedes owner, but once you are used to it, it is fantastic. It is controlled by a rotary wheel which is great so that you don’t leave fingerprints on the screen. Plus, in my opinion, it’s the easiest to use when driving and you don't have to take your eyes off of the road. Of course, it has Apple Carplay if you do not want to use Mercedes’ software.. Not wireless though. I wish that Mercedes would offer A/C seats instead of ventilated seats.. to this day they don’t offer it. A/C seats blow cold air on you, while the ventilated seats pull in the air from the cabin and cool it slightly to blow on your back. The 360 camera is nice, and I actually like it way better than my 360 camera in my 2021 GLE53. Overall, I believe the GLE Coupe is an extravagant car and has serious road presence. It drives great and has plenty of great safety technology.

Wwe have owned this car since 2017 and put 82,000 miles on it and it still runs like new! This car has been driven all over the southeastern USA and never disappointed.
